Professional Appraisal Fees are charged at an hourly rate (of $175/hour) or a flat rate depending, upon the type of assignment. These fees include the on-site examination, documentation and photography of the art, market research and analysis, narrative writing and production of a full color report, and black and white copy. In addition to the flat rate, a 10% administrative fee is charged that will cover all administrative, printing, and any other clerical/administrative fees required to bring the appraisal to its final format, and mailed to the client in adequate and timely condition.

Travel expenses will be charged to the client, if I and/or my assistant is required to travel outside of Maricopa County, Arizona to provide a physical inspection of the appraisal. These costs include, but are not limited to airfare, ground transportation, and lodging (if required by length of on-site examination.) Lisa’s flat rate for traveling outside of Maricopa County for appraisal inspection is $1,200 per diem, along with a $120 administrative fee, if her assistant is required to travel with her.

Expenses: Fees associated with scientific testing, opinions of other experts, or authentication (when necessary), are billed to the client at actual cost.

Please note that the appraiser’s compensation relates to the time required to complete the assignment. It is not contingent upon the amount of the valuation, the reporting of predetermined value or direction in value that favors the cause of the client, the attainment of a stipulated result, or the occurrence of a subsequent event.
The appraisal fees are based solely on the quality of service and overhead. The fees reflect the time, complexity of the assignment, skill training and experience demanded by the proper treatment. Although sometimes costly, a professional art appraisal by an independent, certified, accredited member of a national organization, such as the American Society of Appraisers, is always a good value and functions as a legal document.
